MEDiPOS Medical Scheme (MEDiPOS) is a registered medical scheme serving the employees of the South African Post Office (SAPO) and its pensioners. It is currently being administered by Medscheme Holdings and has approximately above 8500 members of all levels (from postmen to executive level) with a pensioner ratio of about 10% and the average age of beneficiaries is 36. The members are spread across the 9 provinces of the Republic of South Africa.

Who qualifies to be a member?

• Any employee of South African Post Service and its Subsidiaries including their depedants

Who can retain their membership?

An existing member if : – 

• retiring from the service of their employer;
• employment being terminated by their employer on account of age, ill-health or other disability.
